VP, Actuarial Financial Reporting

Through its relationship, the company leverages KKR's investment capabilities, scale and access to capital markets to enhance the value it offers clients.POSITION OVERVIEWThis position, located in the Boston, MA office, will support the valuation and financial reporting of two of Global Atlantic’s fast growing lines of business: Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) and Flow Reinsurance. The candidate will report to the Head of Valuation and lead a small team supporting both the reporting and analysis/review of the business.Key responsibilities of the role include:Calculating US Statutory, Tax, US GAAP reserves, and other related actuarial balancesProviding analysis to support drivers of impacts to earningsSupporting the onboarding of new reinsurance dealsConducting annual impact testing for potential assumption changesWorking with the Modeling team related to any necessary modeling updatesWorking with IT and data team on valuation system transformationMaintaining and improving various controls, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)Supporting audit and regulatory requestsQUALIFICATIONS10+ years of actuarial experience in the life insurance and retirement industryFellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) requiredKnowledge of annuity/life insurance products and/or PRTExperience with financial reporting under US Statutory and US GAAPExperience with actuarial software, especially MG-ALFAStrong communication, technical, and analytical skills.Ability to manage staffTakes personal accountability for the execution of goals and objectives.Able to participate in the generation of new and unique ideas.Has positive attitude necessary to be part of a strong performing teamThis role is not eligible for visa sponsorship now or in the future.Global Atlantic reserves the right to modify the qualifications and requirements for this position to accommodate business needs and regulatory changes.
