Position Summary:The Senior Director of Business Intelligence plays a pivotal role in driving the effective use of data to achieve business success, operational efficiency, and innovation. This position requires a combination of strong technical expertise, strategic vision, and leadership to ensure the high performance of Business Intelligence (BI) initiatives across the organization. This role requires a committed sense of ownership and confidence to communicate and gain consensus across multiple levels of management and solutions delivery teams.

Job Duties:You will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence by optimizing BI processes, maintaining data quality, and adopting new technologies to stay ahead of industry trends. Your role includes establishing data governance policies, managing risks, and providing regular updates on BI initiatives to the cross functional teams. Additionally, you will promote knowledge sharing and enhance data literacy across the organization, driving continuous improvement in BI practices.

Develop BI Strategy:

Align BI initiatives with business goals to drive growth, efficiency, and competitive advantage.

Understand Needs:

Collaborate with business leaders to identify and understand their data and analytical needs.

Advanced Analytics:

Lead the development of sophisticated analytics, dashboards, and reports that provide actionable insights.

Promote Data-Driven Decisions:

Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making throughout the organization, ensuring that data insights are effectively utilized.

Build and Manage Team:

Lead and mentor a team of data professionals, providing guidance, development opportunities, and performance management.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Enhance collaboration with other IT functions and business units to ensure seamless integration of BI solutions.

Adopt New Technologies:

Stay informed about emerging BI technologies and trends, integrating new tools and methodologies to enhance capabilities.

Foster Innovation:

Encourage a culture of continuous improvement, promoting the exploration and adoption of innovative BI practices.

Data Governance:

Develop and enforce policies and procedures that ensure data quality, security, and compliance with relevant regulations.

Risk Management:

Identify potential risks within BI operations and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.

Knowledge Sharing:

Enhance data literacy across the organization, promoting the adoption of BI best practices and facilitating knowledge sharing.

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or Business Administration is required.

An advanced degree (e.g., MBA, Master’s in Data Science, or related field) is preferred.

At least 15 years of experience in data and information management, with comprehensive knowledge of data warehouse technical architectures, data modeling, related infrastructure components, and analytics tools.

Significant experience in managing cloud-based data platforms, such as Snowflake, including the oversight of cloud data warehouses in conjunction with legacy data systems.

Advanced experience with leading BI reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, SAP Business Objects, Looker) to drive data-driven decision-making and deliver actionable insights.

Proven ability to lead and manage large-scale, cross-functional data initiatives, while effectively managing a team of data analysts, data engineers, and data warehouse solution architects.

Strong, confident presence in executive-facing situations, with the ability to deliver polished verbal and written presentations tailored to senior leadership.

Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills, enabling effective partnerships across various teams and functions within the organization.

Demonstrated ability to think strategically, aligning BI initiatives with broader business goals to achieve optimal results.

Experience in the real estate industry is a plus.

Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $209,600.00 - $260,900.00

Actual placement within this range may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
