It’s crucial that as a collective, our employees, volunteers and the general public have all the tools they need to safely and effectively manage emergency events.About the RolesSenior CAD GIS Support Specialist (Permanent)The CAD GIS Support Specialist manages the development and maintenance of GIS spatial analysis and operational tools for the Interagency Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system. This position is responsible for:Designing, creating, editing and maintaining spatial data used to enhance public safety's response to critical and non-critical incidents.Representing DFES CAD GIS to WA Police, Landgate as well other agencies and departments.Managing and evaluating the effectiveness of spatial data and making recommendations for its use for public safety response.Experience with corporate spatial database environments, data transformation workflows and spatial viewer technology would be valued.Senior Spatial Analyst (Temporary)In this dynamic role we are looking for someone who can provide leadership in the maintenance of DFES spatial data, drive analysis, establish use cases and deliver products utilising spatial data in support of DFES operational and corporate objectives.As a Senior Spatial Analyst, you will be able to put your skills and experiences to good use as you facilitate and build partnerships with a range of departments, organisations and volunteers on the appropriate use of spatial data and spatial capabilities, including training facilitation and access to mapping resources at incidents.Advanced spatial data management and analysis experience in the below key areas would be advantageous:Spatial Desktop and Viewer Technology (Esri ArcGIS Pro, Geocortex, Arc Enterprise or equivalent).Data ETL Workflows (FME, python).Spatial program coordination including stakeholder relationship management.Employment Conditions and Additional InformationDFES is an emergency services organisation and all employees may be required to work or travel outside of normal business hours to assist with emergencies.
