Responsibilities include monitoring and managing cybersecurity tools, analyzing cyber threats, maintaining firewalls, and responding to security incidents. The role also involves compliance with cybersecurity standards, incident reporting, and documentation.Roles and ResponsibilitiesA qualified candidate will perform the following duties and responsibilities, but are not limited to:Monitor and manage cybersecurity tools.Access Security Events via Splunk Enterprise Security, Splunk Security Essentials and vRealize log Insight.Create playbooks via Splunk SOAR.Analyze cyber threats and recommend solutions.Investigate anomalous Netflow traffic via Cisco Security Network Analytics.Administer firewalls and other security systems.Utilize Commercial-off the Shelf (COTS) tools to determine attribution of Source IP Addresses.Respond to security incidents.Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards.Create coordination rules in Splunk Enterprise Security.Provide regular reports and documentation.Knowledge and SkillsExperience using Microsoft Office tools (Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio and Outlook).Experience with Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) and Cisco Firepower Management Center (FMC).EducationHigh School Diploma.At least 4+ years of recent cybersecurity experience, focusing on firewall, IDS, and IS administration.IAW DoD 8140.03-M, must meet the Intermediate Proficiency Level qualifications.Must have at least one relevant CND certification: CISSP, CASP, OSCP, CySA+, CEH, or GCIH.IAM-II Certification (CISM, CISSP or Associate, GSLC, CCISO, CAP, CASP+ CE, HCISSP).Preferred Qualifications:Relevant industry certifications, such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Checkpoint CCSA/CCSE, or Palo Alto PCNSE.Physical Requirements/Work EnvironmentTypical office environment.TravelNot required.Company DescriptionCastalia Systems is a proven business partner providing mission-critical solutions to the Federal Government.
