This role will involve research and analysis of markets, market systems, companies, and industries in support of carbon product development efforts, with support to business development activities and gathering input data for life cycle analysis estimations.Key Responsibilities:Provide support for product development efforts, focusing on research and monitoring of compliance and voluntary carbon markets.Assist in the quality assurance of data for carbon removal certificates and validate the carbon intensity of 1PointFive’s fuel products.Coordinate across 1PointFive’s teams to support effective engagement with product purchasers.Monitor and analyze developments in compliance and voluntary carbon markets.Support the effort to standardize methodologies across compliance and voluntary carbon markets.Maintain the team’s document library for key messaging and position papers.Support the drafting of scopes of work for contracts with carbon verification and project validation bodies.Perform research and gather data on markets for 1PointFive’s products, including regulatory and voluntary carbon markets.Analyze market data, present findings, and provide timely support to aid in business development pursuits.Research and develop competitive intelligence about leads, suspects, and prospects.Develop presentations and support preparing material for proposals.Qualifications:Education:Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or finance.Experience & Capabilities:3-5 years of experience in engineering, finance, technology development, and/or carbon markets. Experience in some, or all, of the following areas is an asset:Product development and processes, especially carbon clean technology and climate solutions.Carbon standards and methodologies and their applications.Market research and analysis.Carbon intensity calculations and life cycle analysis.Knowledge of decarbonizing hard-to-abate sectors (aviation, maritime, heavy transport).Role and operation of carbon registries and carbon accounting/tracking.Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.Resourceful in finding efficiency improvement measures.Collaborating well in a team environment.Thriving on tackling challenging problems.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.Quantitative analytical skills and working knowledge of statistics.Data literacy and analytics skills.Recruitment Fraud:It has come to our attention that various individuals and/or organizations are falsely pretending to recruit on behalf of Oxy.
