Our mission is to help curb global temperature rise to 1.5°C by 2050 through innovative solutions, including Carbon Engineering’s Direct Air Capture (DAC) and AIR TO FUELS technologies alongside geologic sequestration hubs.We are seeking a creative and motivated Carbon Products Analyst to contribute to developing and providing carbon products to serve carbon markets. This role will be a great fit for someone passionate about 1PointFive’s vision, with a creative and analytical mindset, and who wants to be a part of a fast-paced culture where contributions are noticed.Position Scope:Reporting to the Solutions Development Specialist, this role includes research and analysis of markets, market systems, companies, and industries in support of carbon product development efforts.Provide support for product development efforts, focusing on research and monitoring of compliance and voluntary carbon markets.Assist in the quality assurance of data for carbon removal certificates and validate the carbon intensity of 1PointFive’s fuel products.Coordinate across 1PointFive’s teams to support effective engagement with product purchasers.Responsibilities:The responsibilities for the Carbon Products Analyst will include monitoring the development of compliance markets globally, supporting the Solutions Development Specialists and Technology Development Engineers, managing business-related inquiries, and gathering market/client data for strategic planning processes.Monitor and analyze developments in compliance and voluntary carbon markets, focusing on impacts to 1PointFive’s products.Support efforts to standardize methodologies across compliance and voluntary carbon markets.Maintain the team’s document library for key messaging and consultation responses.Support drafting scopes of work for contracts with carbon verification and project validation bodies.Perform research and gather data on markets for 1PointFive’s products and services.Analyze market data, present findings, and provide support for business development pursuits.Research and develop competitive intelligence about leads, suspects, and prospects.Develop presentations and support preparing material for proposals.Qualifications:Education:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or finance.Experience & Capabilities:

3-5 years experience in engineering, finance, technology development, and/or carbon markets. Experience in some or all of the following are an asset:Product development and processes, especially carbon clean technology and climate solutions.Carbon standards and methodologies.Market research and analysis.Carbon intensity calculations and life cycle analysis.Knowledge of decarbonizing hard-to-abate sectors (aviation, maritime, heavy transport).Role and operation of carbon registries and carbon accounting/tracking.Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.Resourceful in finding efficiency improvement measures.Collaborating well in a team environment.Thriving on tackling challenging problems.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.Quantitative analytical skills and working knowledge of statistics.Data literacy and analytics skills are an asset.
