We aim to give life back to EVERY patient and their family by providing leading solutions that silence pain, ease movement disorders and transform care of neurological conditions. The products our team work on include spinal cord/deep brain/peripheral nerve stimulators as well as RF/BVN ablation generators.You will work with dynamic, cross-functional teams to ensure our embedded software is of the utmost quality for our patients. Candidates will have the opportunity to grow their careers through the BSC network and deliver meaningful innovation in healthcare.Your responsibilities include:Creating engineering requirements, test protocols, and test environments for formal verification of embedded softwareCollaborating cross-functionally with engineering teams (i.e. Firmware, Hardware, ASIC, Systems) to optimize medical software design & testingDeveloping Python code to verify quality of medical-grade embedded softwareWorking with non-engineering team (i.e. Quality, Regulatory, Project Management) to ensure project executionWorking with benchtop tools (i.e. power supply, oscilloscopes etc.) for electrical device development/verificationCommunicating effectively with individual contributors and functional managementDocumenting engineering processes clearly and concisely following best practicesAnalyzing activities and methodologies with peers and cross-functional groups to continuously enhance quality and work processes.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering or related engineering field.3+ years of work experience developing and testing embedded software devicesExperience creating engineering requirements, test protocols, and test environments for formal verification/validation of medical-grade software or other highly regulated softwareExperience developing software in Python, including package management, data analytics, and object-oriented designExperience developing embedded software (C/C++) on microcontroller and system-on-chip devicesExperience collaborating cross-functionally with technical (i.e. Electrical, ASIC, Mechanical, Systems Engineering) and non-technical (i.e. Quality, Regulatory, Project Management) teamsExperience working with benchtop tools (i.e. power supply, oscilloscope, function generator etc.) for electrical device development/verificationExperience communicating technical topics effectively with individual contributors, functional management, and senior leadershipExperience documenting engineering development processes with concise reports, memos, and change requests following best practices and standards.Ability to work hybrid (3 days a week on-site in Valencia)Preferred qualifications:Experience with source control, project management, and CI/CD tools (Git, Bitbucket, JIRA, Jenkins)Experience working on Class-III/Class-II medical devices or in a similar safety-critical regulated environment (i.e. aerospace, automotive)Experience with PCB schematic design and layout, particularly in Altium/OrCADExperience planning work-breakdown structures and working with project management to execute to functional milestonesExperience with medical device industry standards such as IEC 62304Requisition ID:
