The DarkStar Group is seeking a Geospatial Infrastructure Engineer with a TS/SCI + Poly clearance (applicable to this customer) to join one of our top projects in Chantilly, VA. Below is an overview of the project, as well as information on our company.

THE PROJECT

The DarkStar Group's team integrates hundreds of data sources into a Geospatial Data Analysis platform used throughout the Intelligence Community. Their tool and dataset is widely-recognized as the leading platform for geospatial analysis, touching nearly every type of mission. Top government officials use analysis from this platform to make daily decisions that have global impact. The platform is constructed of 3rd party tools and custom applications, and new data sources are constantly being added. The customer is excellent to work with, and there is a healthy mix of customer-driven requirements and team-driven ideas / innovation: engineers typically have freedom in choosing how to do things and which technologies to utilize.

Work on this program takes place in the Chantilly, VA area (we cannot support remote work) and requires a TS/SCI + Poly clearance (acceptable by this customer).

THE ROLE

Working with team members to deploy, optimize and maintain enterprise geospatial systems including databases, tools and applications, and provide user support.

Maintaining and optimizing on-premise hardware and cloud-deployed systems.

Assisting in security accreditation process, patching and continuing maintenance including security scans.

Required Skills

Experience as a Systems Administrator to include physical and cloud-based systems, migration and recapitalization, monitoring and backup and recovery.

Desired Skills (Optional)

Experience deploying, maintaining and managing geospatial tools and applications including Google Earth Enterprise and the ESRI stack.

Familiarity with Geospatial Database administration

Experience with the Sponsor’s Security Accreditation Process

Experience with AWS cloud services, application development and migration processes.
