Full time CT/ X-Ray Technologist - WC-Floater for Southshore

.The ideal candidate is a fast learner with a demonstrated ability to work at a fast pace; remains courteous with customers, patients, referring physician office personnel, and employees. Someone who is dependable, mature, has a good work ethic, excellent attendance, maintains a professional attitude, and is a team player.Responsibilities:Performs CT and X-Ray procedures to include instructing and preparing patients, selecting protocols and coils, and performing the examination ordered.Assures the verification of patient’s identification and confirmation of physician’s orders prior to the performance of any CT or X-Ray procedure.Assures pertinent and thorough medical information/history is obtained to assist the radiologist in assessing that the appropriate procedures have been requested and provides him with valuable insight helpful in his/her diagnosis.Completes all necessary paperwork/computer work that will aid in expediting patient flow, assure proper completion of all exams requested, verifying images received in PACS, and prompt release of all patients.Ensures adherence to established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, and safety standards.Requirements:Knowledge of safety requirements to provide instructions and to recognize and correct hazardous conditions.Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.Maintains communication and cooperation with radiologists and other ancillary departments regarding changes in protocol, scheduling of procedures, exams performed, and patient flow.Ability to communicate clearly with patients, colleagues, and referring offices.Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.Preferred Experience:Prefer a minimum of 1 year experience.
