LinQuest Corporation is seeking a Modeling & Simulation Analyst with direct experience implementing either Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM) and/or Next Generation Threat System (NGTS) to help advance Department of Defense (DoD) capabilities to conduct mission-level modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) of complex, adaptive kill webs.
The selected individual will serve on a broader multi-disciplinary team of operational military subject matter experts, operations research analysts, and modelers conducting sponsor-directed studies and analyses using an environment and MS&A tool being developed by DARPA. Other applicant requirements and job functions include:
Support a team of software developers and modelers in the development of platform, weapon, system, and behavior models for use by the study team.Implement models in study scenarios and vignettes as required.Develop software operational testing protocols and/or procedures as required.Support operational testing as required.Prepare documentation of models, processes developed or employed, and test results.Must be able to work independently without direct supervision.Experience developing core AFSIM and/or NGTS is preferred.An active Top Secret clearance with Sensitive Comparted Information (SCI) eligibility is required.
Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experienceMaster's Degree in a related field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experienceDegree must be in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, or related fieldsHigh level of proficiency in AFSIM and/or NGTS combat modeling environment(s)Ability to think creatively and function as part of a high-performing teamExcellent oral and written communications skillsProficiency in one or more of the following: Python, C++, XMLExperience implementing simulation models to inform executive decision-makingFamiliarity with Joint warfighting capabilities, advanced weapons, current and future operational conceptsActive DoD Top Secret clearance with current SCI eligibilityEligible for Special Access Program (SAP) accessUS Citizenship
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Understands systems engineering principles and can identify data exchange requirements between software modules and/or subsystemsThorough understanding of behavior modeling in AFSIM and/or NGTSData analysis, design of experiments, and/or optimization experience using R, JupyterLab, Python, MATLAB, or similar analytic softwareMaster's Degree in a related field with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experienceExperience developing mission-level modeling & simulation softwareExtensive knowledge/experience in Joint warfighting capabilities, advanced weapons, current and future operational concepts and modeling & simulation of the sameExperience developing and implementing tools in a Linux environmentDoD 8570-approved certifications (or demonstrated equivalency):
CompTIA Security+ or Level I equivalent, and/orISC2 Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) or Level II equivalent
Active DoD Top Secret clearance with active SCI within the last 12 months
