It highlights Air Products commitment to energy transition and supports California's decarbonization by producing renewable aviation fuel.We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer who will provide engineering technical expertise and project management for expense projects from conceptual design through detailed engineering, execution and start-up. This individual must possess a consistent track record of successfully vetting resource estimates, schedules, business benefits, environmental/health/safety impacts and risk assessment for proposed development concepts.Principal Accountabilities:Conducts project feasibility and economic analyses, prepares budgets, cost estimates, and decision support packages for funding authorization.Supports project permitting requirements.Works with outside engineering contractors to develop all process design deliverables.Manages changes to plant equipment using applicable Management of Change (MOC) protocols.Manages integrity projects for operational assets requiring modification according to relevant industry standards.Collaborates with Operations, Maintenance, Environmental, and Business Development teams to develop schedules for performing work on operational assets.Prepares estimates, budgets, schedules, materials, and contract specifications, procurement plans, and work plans for OpEx projects; track and report on project progress and performance.Reviews financial commitments and expenditures, ensure upkeep of accurate forecasts, and report on monthly performance of OpEx projects.Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for all assigned projects.Provides support to field maintenance technicians and operations staff.Consistently maintains and demonstrates a high regard for personal safety, as well as the safety of employees, the general public, and company assets.This is a safety sensitive position.Requirements and Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree from an accredited 4-year college or university in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.7-10 years as mechanical engineer, including fixed and rotating equipment and reliability with at least 2 years of project execution experience, preferably smaller OpEx project implementation.Refinery/petrochemical/bio-fuels industry experience required.Working knowledge of industry safety, design, and inspection standards and procedures for machinery.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, and sketches.Familiarity with industry standards such as American Petroleum Institute (API) and American Society of Mechanical Engineering (ASME) applicable to maintenance and mechanical engineering in refining industry.Previous supervisory experience with contractors, including contract engineers.
