As a Histotechnologist 1 Per Diem, you play a crucial role in the Histology Lab by providing coverage to ensure the efficiency and quality of our laboratory operation. Your primary duties include:Process, embed, section, and stain tissue specimens with H&E and special stains according to established protocols.Maintain quality control and other logs as necessary to uphold high standards of laboratory practice.Interact with faculty, residents, and grossing personnel to address any issues or concerns regarding test orders.Maintain a clean and properly maintained work area to promote a safe and efficient laboratory environment.Salary Range:
$75.38/hour - $75.38/hour (flat rate)Note:
May convert to career.Qualifications
Must possess HT(ASCP) or HTL (ASCP) certification.Must have a high school diploma or equivalent (e.g. HiSET or GED).Have flexibility to work any day of the week, between the hours of 11:30am - 8:00pm, based on operational needs.
