This position isresponsible for monitoring grooming, proper uniform, service areas,table setting, side work and serving standards by performing thefollowing essential duties and responsibilities.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following, otherduties may be assigned)Possesses several years of experience as a server with exceptionalserving skills.Prepares dining and seating areas by assisting service staff withcleaning.Checks tables to ensure proper setting, stocking and preparation forservice.Assists with proper training on food, beer, wine and alcoholknowledge and service standards.Recognizes and learns the names of regular customers.Becomes familiar with proper food presentation.Reviews menus, beverage lists and food specials with other servicestaff to ensure the staff is properly prepared to attend tocustomers.Reports all issues with equipment/dining areas to managementimmediately.Answers guest and staff inquiries and makes suggestions regardingfood service.Observes diners to satisfy any additional requests or monitor thecompletion of meals.Takes food and drink orders and enters them into the POS fortransmittal to the kitchen/bar staff.Possess solid knowledge of the POS to assist other staff memberswith troubleshooting.Engages with guests in a friendly manner and ensures excellent guestservice (ie. making eye contact).Possesses a knowledge of the food, beer, wine and alcohol menus withthe ability to make suggestions.Makes recommendations and memorizes/presents food and beverage dailyspecials.Follows and enforces allergy policies and protocols.Ensures guests receive proper order and are enjoying their meals.Takes proper action to identify any problems and provide resolution.Prepares checks and collects payment appropriately and accurately.Prepares dining and seating areas by cleaning and ensuring serviceareas are stocked.Removes tableware between courses and resets tables for next course.Clears tables, floors and windowsills after guests leave and resetsthem for next guests.Maintains side work throughout shift and vacuums/cleans restaurantas needed.Other duties as assigned by supervisor, which could be directlyrelated, or unrelated to original position.
