As a Physician Insurance Specialist, you will represents AMA Insurance to physicians, generating sales through bothinbound and outbound calls and an understanding of physicians' insurancecoverage needs. Builds the AMA's relationship with insurance clients byidentifying cross-sell opportunities and leads for our marketing partners whereappropriate to our customers. Facilitates processes leading to acceptedapplications and customer payments. payments.RESPONSIBILITIES:Meet and exceed sales targets by educating potential customers and supporting the application processFollow up on all new leads and referrals resulting from inbound calls, events, webinars, and all advertising and marketing activitiesSelect days, times, and communication channels most likely to reach potential customers; prioritize leads by quality and/or size of opportunityDevelop and maintain talking points, FAQs, responses to common objections, and other sales materials to educate physicians and their families on our products and services and our advantages vs. competitionThrough inbound and outbound calls, make product recommendations meeting customer needsPost-sale, ensure client satisfaction; identity and close cross-sell and upsell opportunitiesTrack customers and applications throughout the application processPrepare quotes and applications in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate contract terms as required by industry regulations and AMAI policiesFollow up with customers and underwriters after initial application to ensure any missing or additional data is provided, and to ensure underwriters accept applications and customers can make paymentsMaintain accurate records of all sales activities, including lead generation, sales calls, applications provided, and closed sales via use of a designated technologyCommunicate sales pipeline activity and progress through weekly call reports and forecastsMay include other responsibilities as assignedREQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent requiredMinimum of 3 years demonstrated successful experience in telesales or other sales roles with an insurance focus; experience with disability, life, and/or long-term care insurance a plusMust be licensed and appointed in accordance with insurance laws and regulations in the state(s) of operation as defined by the AgencyStrong ability to persuade potential customers of the value of products and services, including demonstrated ability to initiate, advance, and close salesExperience in tracking and working multiple leads and lead sources, and effectively managing the sales cycle in order to drive opportunities to closure in a timely wayAble to acquire and maintain familiarity with physicians' insurance needs and related AMAI productsGoal-oriented, with a proven sales track record of achieving sales quotasAbility to create, compose, and edit written materials, including customer letters, proposals, and contract documentsStrong interpersonal and communication skills; proven ability to develop relationships, especially in customer relations and internally with forecasting and reporting resultsAble to work a flexible schedule with some evening and weekend hoursMust have access to a home-based workstation that is located in a room with a door to avoid distractions; must also have access to an internet connection and phone serviceThe pay range for this position in Chicago IL, California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, South Carolina, Virginia, Wisconsin, or Washington D.C. is $62K-$82K. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
