$75,000-$90,000Job Summary

The Estimator will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing project plans and specifications for special requirements and conditions in order to produce a complete estimate for assigned projects of small to medium size and intermediate complexity.Main Responsibilities

Prepare preliminary estimates using best practices for entering bid into HCSSUpload bid items for proper bidding in HCSSSupport estimating team by preparing job specific narratives as required for proposalsDeliver bid proposal submit in timely manner per owner's criteriaSupport admin team on GFE outreach as requiredPerform detailed takeoff on all area and count itemsAttend pre-bid meeting as requiredCollect bid documents for target projectsPerform other duties as assignedSkills

Ability to comprehend project plans and specificationsAbility to multitask efficiently and effectivelyAbility to work independently and as a teamAbility to work under pressure and meet short deadlines and process projects quicklyExcellent attention to detailExcellent computer skills combined with previous knowledge of Heavy Bid, Heavy Job, and JDE EdwardsExcellent math skills with the ability to calculate and analyze dataExcellent organizational skillsExcellent verbal and written communicationExperience with JDE Enterprise, Heavy Bid/Heaving Job estimating softwareMust have the ability to work well with all levels of the organizationMust possess a mindset for making continuous improvements of department processesPrevious knowledge of construction labor and equipment practices and productionPrevious knowledge of engineering and space relationshipProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and AccessStrong tendency to take initiativeEducation and Requirements
