Main Responsibilities

Track & analyze cash position, assist in cash forecasting and reporting of net financial position Prepare, review and analyze financial information to ensure integrity is maintainedLead monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Responsible for preparations of journal entries, reconciliations and consolidated IFRS & GAAP financial reporting package to parent companySupervise and mentor accounting staffAssist with annual budgeting and monthly forecasting Prepare tax worksheets and support schedules Participate in external and internal audits as requiredMaintain and develop internal control procedures Uphold Colas ethics and business principlesAd hoc projects and reporting as neededPerform other duties as assigned

Education

A bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in accounting, finance or other applicable degree.

Skills

At least 7 years of accounting work experience is acceptable for this positionConstruction industry accounting experience including WIP reportingStrong knowledge of both GAAP and IFRS including revenue recognition and lease accounting standards Previous experience managing a small teamIdeal candidate will have CPA and/or CMA certificationExcellent time management and organization skills with the ability to prioritize and follow-up on multiple concurrent tasksMust possess excellent skills with Microsoft Windows and MS Office Suite, particularly Outlook and Excel (intermediate level)Experience with JDE, Sage, Timberline, or other enterprise construction industry software a plusHighly motivated, positive, professional, organized, detail oriented, and an effective communicator
