Please ensure you have a valid email address on your application.Under the general supervision of the Senior Accounting Officer (Supervisor), the Accountant I (Specialist) performs semiprofessional accounting work in the maintenance of financial records and associated accounts for incarcerated persons. Essential duties can be reassigned for the well-being and efficient operation of the Accounting Department and the Institution.Working Conditions

Sierra Conservation Center (SCC) is located in the foothills near Jamestown, California, in the heart of the Mother Lode Gold Country. It is adjacent to the Stanislaus National Forest, offering numerous recreational activities (fishing, swimming, camping, skiing, golfing, etc.). The prison is approximately 70 miles from Yosemite National Park.The primary mission of SCC is to provide housing, programs, and services for minimum and medium custody incarcerated individuals, to aid in their rehabilitation. SCC is responsible for the training and placement of male incarcerated individuals in the Conservation Camp Program. SCC administers 31 male camps located throughout California.Minimum Requirements
