The Accountant I (Specialist) works under the direct supervision of the Administrator I. The Accountant I (Specialist) will perform semi-professional accounting work in the Accounting Section. The Accountant I (Specialist) duties include providing excellent customer service, collecting outstanding salary advances for employees, preparing account coding documents for payment issuance, and payroll distribution functions. They maintain professional relationships with Franchise Tax Board (FTB) Employees, Human Resources, State Control Agencies, and external entities to facilitate the operational functions of the Franchise Tax Board.Separation of Duties

The duties of this position include responsibilities covered in State Administrative Manual (SAM) Section 7280. To ensure proper separation of duties, you may not be eligible for this position if a family member (husband, wife, brother, or sister) works in the accounting section.Minimum Requirements
