Network Security Engineer

Public Utility ExperienceExtensive experience (preferred 5+ years direct experience) in network security engineering for Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco Firepower, and web content filtering solutions. This encompasses design and architecture, configuration, project builds and operational support.Experience converting from Cisco to Palo Alto.Strong knowledge of applying security control frameworks to networks security operations and engineering, specifically architectural models such as zero trust, and highly desired experience with industrial environment concepts such as the PURDUE model for ICS/SCADA/OT.Strong partnership, collaboration and communication skills within and across teams of technical resources.Ability to create or contribute to formal documentation including process and procedure development, threat and incident reports.Ability to analyze network traffic for forensic or threat hunting exercises, with incident response experience desired.Knowledge of modern technology environments and technologies including on-prem datacenters with distributed client locations, cloud, network topologies, applications, ICS/SCADA (strongly preferred).Ability to travel as needed, but preferred based in Pittsburgh with ability to work in office. Bryn Mawr PA is an option as well.Ability to handle multiple priorities and prioritize, working alone and as part of a team on various project and operational support initiatives.Certification preferences include PCNSE (strongly desired), GIAC certifications, CISSP, CCNA/NP.
