The Director of Nursing oversees all medical and care needs for the residents. The director oversees all Department Staff and ensures the overall mission of Regency Senior Living is fulfilled.Responsibilities:Nursing:Maintains weekly QA and Incident Report Logs for the State of ALConducts and maintains quarterly Care Plans for all residentsResponsible for quarterly Level of Care assessments for all residentsOversees monthly weight records of all residentsConducts comprehensive resident assessments (home visits, if necessary)Ensures all documentation is complete prior to new residents moving inEnsure EMAR meets required regulations, collaborates with pharmacy to ensure complianceParticipate in monthly clinical conference callsConduct random chart reviewsCo-ordinate with our Medical DirectorCommunicate and develop relationships with residents' family members and POAMaintain relationships with home health agencies/hospiceResponsible for ordering medical supplies for the departmentRequired to be on call for any medical emergencyMay be required to assist with medication distributionResponsible for ordering suppliesCollaborates and partners with physicians, pharmacy, and other medical personnel to promote quality careEnsures compliance and staff understanding of company policy and procedureComplete/record incident reports in the appropriate record systemAdditional duties as assignedCaregivers:Partners with Executive Director on recruiting, hiring, training, in-service, and separation for all department staff.Reviewing am/pm any new applicants in Healthsource with immediate follow-up via phone/text/emailResponsible for onboarding reviews for all Department StaffManages the staff work scheduleCreates residents' laundry, showers, and room cleaning schedules for Caregivers to followConducts a bi-monthly employee in-service as neededListens to all staff grievances or personal concerns, strong interpersonal skills.Conducts periodic reviews as needed and annual reviews for all staffRequired Skills, Education, and Experience:Graduated Nursing School as a Registered Nurse (RN) and has passed Board Tests, maintain current Nursing licensingMust have the ability to maintain effective working relationships with other coworkers and relate well with authority figuresMust be passionate about seniorsAble to work with seniors ranging from independent to those requiring assistance with physical and cognitive impairmentsRequires frequent sitting, standing, bending, reaching, stooping, twisting, pushing, and walking.Must present a neat, clean, and professional appearance and demonstrate a positive and cheerful attitude towards other associates, residents, and their familiesMust understand that they are subject to exposure to hazardous chemicals and infectious substancesStrong administrative skills, coaching, and strategic planning requiredMinimum 3 years supervising position experience in senior living or comparable experienceQuality Assurance/Improvement and staff development experienceAbility to work a full shift, come to work on time, and work overtime as neededExhibit good time management and organization skillsPossess the ability to handle complex issuesProficient in Word, Excel, OutlookWork with integrity and humility, and strive for excellenceServes on leadership team and rotates as MOD
