This position exists to program CNC Machines, it requires a "Hands On" approach and team player that will perform 6S activities in their area and involvement in continuous improvement initiatives.Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Train other programmers and/or Machinists as requiredMay be required to assist in sourcing and commissioning of new machine shop equipmentCreate and/or update programs to fabricate machined parts to meet engineering drawings/modelsSet-up machines as requiredDesign holding fixtures as required for part fabricationAbility and aptitude to train or cross-train other CNC ProgrammersResearch vendor websites to specify correct cutting tools and associated programming thereofMay be required to assist Quality with inspection criteria based on critical dimensionsAssist machinists with part measurements for First Article Inspection and adjustment of programs as necessary to meet drawing requirementsStay current with new versions of programming softwareParticipate in designated continuous improvement activities as requestedMay be required to design fixturesParticipate in all required training sessionsComplete all required data entry and paperwork in an accurate and timely mannerPerform other related duties as assignedQualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent training institution Certification and/or demonstrated experience in a similar manufacturing environmentMinimum 5 years experience in a technical environmentOverseeing and approving DFMA reviews and approval of engineering drawings (specifically tools, jigs & fixtures) preferredMinimum 5 years' CAD programming and CAD experience (SolidWorks and Inventor preferred)Design holding fixtures as required for part fabricationExperienced Esprit programmer, competent at CNC machine set-up across a variety of machinesStrong computer and analytical skills requiredBase knowledge of machining tolerances and process capabilitiesExperience reading and using basic inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, height gage, etc.)Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
