We are looking for a
Trade Funds Accountant
who is a self-starter with the ability to work independently and oversee customer deductions, trade payments process of trade spends accruals and has a knack for addressing root causes.This position also supports Sales and works closely with internal and external customers to ensure the prompt resolution of customer deductions.Scope of Responsibilities
Salary: $66,847 to $83,585Administrate and enforce deduction management and trade payment policiesDevelop relationships with internal and external customers to ensure a constant focus on the achievement of trade fund and deduction targetsWork with brokers and customers to ensure backup is received timelyUpload and pull backup and code correctly deductions to their respective accountsWork with cross-functional teams to research/validate/dispute/resolve non-trade deductionsProactively identify trends and assist in implementing processes to prevent invalid deductionsProcess journal entries and assist with trade spend accrualsMake decisions that will directly impact the organization's cash flow & profitabilityProvide monthly financial reporting and analysis to ensure data and system integrityProvide ad-hoc reporting and analysisSupply deduction management support to Sales teamAssist with other areas of Operational Accounting, as neededSpecific Knowledge & Skills
Strong Excel, Word, & PowerPoint SkillsAbility to facilitate meetings, drive results, and implement changeKnowledge of customer trade fund structures preferredAbility to work overtime at peak periodsExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to quickly change priorities and handle competing prioritiesHighly organized; detail orientedSuperior analytical and computer skillsExperience with SAP or other ERP systemTrade fund management system and/or Cognos experience beneficialEducation and Work Experience
College degree preferred, Accounting/Finance OR 2 years of experience in similar fieldsProven successful experience with high volume deduction management preferredOther Job Requirements
Must have a flexible schedule and willing to put in extra time as neededOccasional to constant repetitive fine manipulation (keyboarding, ten key, writing)Rare to occasional ability to lift and carry up to 10 poundsAbility to travel to various locations across the country or local travel to meetingsMore detailed physical demands/working conditions are available through the Human Resources DepartmentSalary Range
