Central Carolina Hospital is a 137-bed acute care hospital with over 100 physicians and more than 500 employees. The hospital offers a wide range of specialties, including cardiology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, general surgery, obstetrics, gynecology, emergency medicine, gastroenterology, hospitalist services, nephrology, hematology, urology, podiatry, pulmonary medicine, and wound care.
Organizes, directs, and supervises the functions of the Cardiovascular Service line including the operational oversight of the Cath Lab, Endoscopy, Vascular, and Cardiac Rehabilitation. This includes ensuring that policies and procedures are followed; safe staffing levels are maintained; supplies and equipment are at sufficient levels; and efficient patient throughput is managed. Develops, implements, and manages the department budget. Engages in ongoing quality and performance improvement, invests in lifelong learning for staff professional development, and assures employees complete required annual competencies. Maintains own professional growth and development in nursing leadership and required licensure. Communicates important information to the CNO and other Administrative Team members as needed. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following activities: staff development, evidence-based clinical practice, personnel resource/productivity management, fiscal management, patient quality, safety and performance improvement, and regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree is required
Registered Nurse in North Carolina is required (or compact state)
3-5 years supervisory experience in Cardiac Cath lab setting
5+ years training, education and/or experience as Cardiac Cath Lab RN
BLS within 30 days and ACLS within 90 days of hire
