Job Description:Senior Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations

at Bowdoin College.

Job Responsibility:The Senior Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations (SVP) will report directly to the president of Bowdoin College, Safa Zaki. The SVP will be a key strategic leader, partnering across the College to gather financial support and engage alumni and parents to propel Bowdoin to further success. The SVP will develop a comprehensive strategic advancement plan to amplify Bowdoin's identity and impact. Responsibilities include:

Cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding transformational philanthropic support.

Managing a leadership gifts portfolio.

Engaging development and alumni relations staff to implement fundraising and engagement plans.

Overseeing the annual budget of the Division of Development and Alumni Relations.

Managing an approximately 55-person team.

Education/Skills Requirements:

Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.

Experience Requirements:

Progressive leadership experience at the executive or senior level.

Standard Work Days and Hours:This is an exempt position requiring time commitment necessary to satisfactorily complete job requirements. Hours are primarily Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with occasional work after hours or weekends. Travel required.
