is seeking a Veterinarian Medical Director to join our team who enjoys both general practice and exotics (exotics not required).

Your Islands Veterinarian - South Maui Animal Clinic. We are a two-doctor practice, seeking an experienced Veterinarian that has some Avian and Exotic experience, special interest in orthopedics (not required). If you would like to be part of a fun and loyal team, we would love to hear from you.

South Maui Animal Clinic is proud to provide high-quality veterinary medicine to our ohana. For pets as well as people, prevention is the best way to maintain optimal health. Beginning with our special vaccination packages for your puppy or kitten, our clinics are here to help keep your pet feeling great. Annual physicals allow you to develop a relationship with your pet’s doctor as you work together to ensure that your pet remains healthy.

Everything you need to care for your pet’s health is right here: Laboratory services and X-ray for in-house diagnosis, a pharmacy, vitamins, supplements, prescription diets if needed, and the expertise of caring professionals whose careers are devoted to keeping animals healthy.

While it's no big secret, Maui is a gorgeous place to call home, we are the only clinic with two unique locations on the island! Our clinic is within a mile of the ocean and is located within our own beautiful building with a private parking lot. Whether you are a hiker, surfer, family man/woman, or someone who enjoys malls and movies, all our locations offer you the best of the best for a healthy and fun lifestyle!

Who we are looking for

A strong leader who wants to build a great medical team.

3 or more years of experience as a veterinarian.

Excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and oral communication skills.

Sound medical reasoning skills and strong medical ethics.

Provide your best care as a Thrive Pet Healthcare veterinarian.

As Medical Director, you’ll have the guidance and resources to excel as a leader. This includes access to a Medical Initiatives Committee and

Experience & Skills Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM / VMD) or equivalent degree required

State Veterinary Board License and must be in good standing for the state in which they intend to be hired, prior to their start date.

Active DEA license or DEA licensure eligible.

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with an annual PROSAL

range starting

at $165,000 / year. The actual salary offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
