IT PROJECT MANAGER

LSU Health New Orleans is looking for a dynamic, motivated individual to handle the management of projects for the IT department. Reporting directly to the CIO, the incumbent will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing Information Technology projects as well as implementing Project Portfolio Management within the institution’s TeamDynamix system. Projects to be managed will consist of teams comprised of staff both internal and external to the department and will often span functional areas.

The ideal candidate will possess:

Excellent oral and written communication skills

The ability to interact with an audience at the appropriate technical level

Able to work both independently and with a team

Be able to handle project adjustments promptly and efficiently

Be able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in an environment subject to change

Be able to form relationships and collaborate with both functional and technical stakeholders.

Be an active listener who is present and able to understand the needs and challenges which the project must address.

Maintain time management and identify critical processes or issues that may imperil project deadlines.

Skilled in persuading others to come together to achieve a unified goal.

Have the ability to manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope.

Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year institution.

Required Certification (one of the following):

Project Management Professional (PMP)

PMI – Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)

Disciplined Agile Scrum Master (DASM)

Required Experience:

Five years project management experience.
