SUMMARY

The primary purpose of this position is to provide analytical and reporting support for new and existing federal reporting programs to include metrics monitoring and reporting. Experience should include health care policy, CMS regulations, and federal incentive programs (MACRA/MIPS), MIPS Value Pathways (MVP), SEER/staging programs, and cancer registries. Should demonstrate knowledge of professional (physician) billing cycle and reimbursement. Experience in the healthcare industry and working in a physician group practice (private or academic) is preferred.

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

Technical and Analytical Expertise

• Demonstrates ability to successfully analyze metric performance and identify areas of opportunity to target for improvement. Tracks and reports performance.

• Participates in various institutional meetings, committees, audits, and compliance reviews.

• Maintains understanding and manages interoperability measures.

• Ability to understand and calculate metrics including basic data manipulation skills and visualization skills.

• Reconciles feedback data with internal data.

• Partners with others to ensure that any changes to clinical and electronic workflows are extractable and measurable for metric reporting.

Reporting & Analysis

• Involvement and analysis with other Federal reporting metrics for CGCAHPS, HCAHPS, MIPS Value Pathways, and oncology care measures.

• Participates and provides analytical and reporting support for the Steering and Strategy for Reporting Metrics (SSRM) committee meetings for MIPS (Merit Based Incentive Programs).

• Overall knowledge of healthcare policies and CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) programs, surveys, and regulations.

• Provides in-depth analysis and reporting around MIPS cost measures, interoperability, clinical practice activity, and quality measures to include modeling and forecasting.

• Integrates clinical, financial, cost, demographic, billing, and other data from various sources when conducting analysis and preparing reports.

• Uses internal and external reports to identify opportunities for improvement in data management and reporting.

• Builds data and information models to capture required reporting measures.

Data Project Management

• Provides analytical and reporting support for new and existing projects/programs.

• Communicates timely, professionally, and effectively with faculty, senior administrators, and key stakeholders.

• Translates strategic objectives to develop data solutions that enable operational decisions.

• Independently scopes new data/reporting requests and identifies appropriate data sources, data visualizations, and reporting mechanisms.

• Ensures that all deliverables are accurate, complete, and contain definitions, sources of data, and department identification.

• Conducts quantitative and qualitative analysis using comparative databases and outcomes reporting.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.

• Six years of related business, finance, or project/process management experience to include three years in a healthcare setting. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one-to-one basis.
