Job Summary:
Provide management of engineering, design and all technical aspects of the projects. Provide technical leadership and oversight to all operational, regulatory and project driven activities as assigned within the Business Unit, including gas and NGL pipelines, gas conditioning, compression and dehydration, fractionation, metering, and construction. Must have experience with CFR DOT Part 192 and ASME B31.8 - Gas Transmission and Distribution Piping Systems.
Job Responsibilities:
Leading Project Engineering support for proposals and projects, assisting with the development of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), hydraulic analysis, equipment and line specifications, preparing and evaluating bid packages, and interacting with engineering, operation and fabrication disciplines
Lead engineering and design activities of new pipeline systems and expansion of existing systems
Provides technical support to all aspects of the project and acts as the primary point of contact with the engineering contractors
Manage the Engineering Firm, EPC/EPC through project execution to ensure projects are completed on-time and within budget
Provide technical oversight in all areas of natural gas pipelines and facilities projects
Project scope and economic development
Material / equipment sizing and specification
Material selection / equipment procurement
Responsible for designing, engineering, and managing high pressure gas system construction projects, including complex gas delivery system projects
Basic project economic evaluation
Cost estimating and generation of AFEs
Development of project schedules
Project / construction management
Routine project report generation
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 4-year accredited degree in Civil, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering
3-5 years of industry experience, background in natural gas distribution and transmission work preferred
Ability to manage engineering and design for multiple projects simultaneously
Pipeline design and construction projects involving transmission and distribution of oil and natural gas
Knowledge of common engineering practices and Industrial codes including ANSI B31.3 piping code, ASME Section VIII pressure vessel code and other related codes and standards of ANSI, ASME, ASTM, API, IEC, NACE, NEC and NFPA
Knowledge of rotating equipment, measurement equipment, and piping interconnects in natural gas transmission facilities
Knowledge of Natural Gas Pipeline Engineering and Construction codes and standards
Communicate effectively and take on the required project challenges
Self-motivated worker requiring minimal supervision
Working knowledge of gas piping systems, P&IDs, PFDs, site layout and material take-offs
Experience with MS Office, BRE Promax , AutoCAD , hydraulic simulation software a plus
Must be willing to travel up to 25% of time to project locations as required
