We are looking to branch out in support of the Department of Transportation (DOT) and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) in managing, enhancing, and maintaining critical systems and processes. The role involves a deep understanding of regulatory environments, data management, and project coordination. The ideal candidate should possess expertise in IT systems, compliance, and government operations, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Position Description:

LCG is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Software Asset Manager to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient management and optimization of our software assets throughout their entire lifecycle.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversee the complete lifecycle of software assets, from requisition through to retirement, ensuring accurate tracking and management.Utilize ServiceNow SAM Professional to record, manage, and track license entitlements within the software asset management domain.Work extensively within the ServiceNow platform, leveraging elements that integrate with the Asset Management Module, such as IT Service Management, ServiceNow Discovery, CMDB, Vendor Management, Contract Management, and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager Spoke.Ensure seamless integration and utilization of these modules to enhance asset management processes.Conduct quality check analysis of customers' contract and purchase information to maintain an accurate summary of licenses.Apply license rules accurately to hardware and software inventory data, ensuring compliance with contractual entitlements.Compare contractual entitlements against utilization to identify gaps or surpluses, offering consulting services to optimize licensing and avoid unnecessary costs.Collect, cleanse, normalize, and manage software discovery and inventory information to ensure all licensing-relevant data points are captured.Provide industry recommendations, best practices, and practical experience suggestions on the convergence of software and hardware asset management.Offer expert advice on best practices in software and hardware asset management, leveraging industry standards and your own practical experience.Provide ongoing consultation to ensure that LCG's software asset management processes are optimized and in line with industry standards.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in software asset management, with a strong focus on using ServiceNow SAM Professional.Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.Proven experience working within the ServiceNow platform, particularly in modules related to asset management, ITSM, Discovery, CMDB, and more.Expertise in managing the entire software asset lifecycle and applying best practices to optimize asset management.Preferred Certifications: ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - Software Asset Management (CIS-SAM), IAITAM Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM).Prior experience working at DOT-OCC is highly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:

The projected compensation range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The target salary for this role is $135,000. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
