Key Responsibilities

Develops and implements accounting policies and internal controls to ensure compliance with financial laws and guidelines.

Improves systems and procedures and initiates corrective actions, as necessary.

Trains and manages accounting and finance employees.

Directs all general ledger activity and ensures timely month and year-end functions.

Supervises procurement and payables processes.

Supervises payroll processes.

Supervises and improves revenue recognition and receivables processes.

Oversees banking, treasury, and cash management functions.

Prepares detailed and timely reports on the company’s financial performance.

Tracks key performance indicators and analyzes trends, recognizes patterns in company spending and revenue, and recommends solutions to problem areas.

Coordinates with external financial entities on behalf of the company.

Ensures the timely submission of all financial reports required by government and other agencies.

Coordinates annual financial audits.

Advises and assists all managers and others in fiscal, organizational, and procedural matters.

Directs the preparation, review, and administration of departmental budgets.

Prepares capital program budgets and manages assets.

Performs ad hoc financial analysis and completes special projects as requested.

Interviews potential new hires and conducts orientation of new employees in the departments.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education & Training

BS in Accounting or Finance.

Experience

Minimum of 5 years in progressively responsible financial and human resource leadership roles, preferably in health care.

Working knowledge of third-party billing and collections.

Proficiency working with accounting, human resource and billing software.

Strong analytical skills and expertise in Excel.
