Apply now and become a key driver of positive change!ResponsibilitiesLead and work with a team of professionals in developing traffic and transportation planning, safety, and engineering solutions for multimodal transportation projectsConduct traffic and safety engineering analysis, including design and operational focused analysisResearch and interpret transportation data, community statistics, and demographicsPerform roadway and intersection designPrepare written planning documents, technical memoranda, summarize information collected by others, and assemble reportsSkills and AttributesUnderstanding of transportation engineering roadway design principlesExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsSelf-motivated with excellent attention to detailEnthusiasm to learn and ability to take responsibilityFamiliarity with the following systems: Synchro/SimTraffic, AutoCAD or Microstation, Word, Excel, GISFamiliarity with national and local transportation engineering standards, including AASHTO, MUTCD, and/or ITE guidance documentsUnderstanding of highway safety fundamentalsPreference for familiarity with Highway Safety Manual (HSM) and related tools and techniquesQualifications5-8 years of transportation and/or traffic engineering experienceBS in Civil Engineering or related field of studyPE license expected, EIT requiredExperience with AutoCAD or Microstation preferredExperience with traffic analysis software (Synchro, HCS) preferredWe are VHB!
