Experienced Staff Accountant/Senior Accountant

provides accurate reconciliation of business accounts. This includes bank statements, inventory reconciliations, and auditing of quarterly, monthly and yearly accounts. Duties include the financial preparation and analysis of accounts and reporting of financial variances and inaccuracies. Additional skills in accounting software packages and excel will also be beneficial.

Role & ResponsibilitiesProvides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data, preparing reports.Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.Documents financial transactions by entering account information.Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.Summarizes current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.Secures financial information by completing database backups.Maintains financial security by following internal controls.Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.Maintains confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.Assist with resolutions to accounting issues as they arise and discuss concerns with a solutions-forward approach.Education, Skills & Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related fieldMinimum 1-3 years' experience in accounting; public accounting experience preferred.Experience with financial reporting requirements.Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas.In-depth understanding of GAAPStrong Analytical SkillsAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills including VLOOKUP's and Pivot TablesExperience with Infor ERP cloud software (a plus)Experience with ERP conversions (a plus)Manufacturing Experience (a plus)Ability to work independently.Persistent drive for excellency and improvement
