U.S. Bank is seeking a Software Engineer who will contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives in our digital transformation journey.
This position will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best in class software experiences. The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate takes responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards in order to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.
Essential Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using Java and PythonExtract data from various sources, including databases, APIs, and flat filesTransform data to meet business requirements and ensure data qualityLoad data into target systems, such as data warehouses and data lakesOptimize ETL processes for performance and scalabilityTroubleshoot and resolve ETL issuesCollaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experienceTwo to three years of relevant experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
Strong proficiency in Java and PythonExperience with ETL tools and frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Apache Airflow)Deep understanding of SQL and database conceptsFamiliarity with data warehousing and data modeling best practicesExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong communication and collaboration abilitiesExperience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Hive)Understanding of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)This description provides a concise overview of the role and responsibilities of an ETL developer, emphasizing the use of Java and Python.

Pay Range: $90,100.00 - $106,000.00 - $116,600.00
