Job Overview:

This position operates within the outpatient clinic to support patients and medical staff. The RN will be responsible for overseeing the overall clinic operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, and maintaining compliance with clinic standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide clinical services in collaboration with providers, clinic staff, and management to deliver excellent patient care, resource utilization, and compliance with standards.Lead and direct clinic staff to ensure efficient operations, including front desk management and patient care.Maintain medication inventory and supplies outside the Warehouse PAR system.Ensure quality control checks are completed for Point of Care tests.Document all care and services provided in the clinic accurately and professionally in a timely manner.Oversee clinic opening and closing procedures.Assist providers and other staff as needed to ensure efficient and quality patient care.Communicate effectively with other departments to support patients, providers, and fellow staff.This position may include early morning hours and Saturdays.

Qualifications:

Education, Certifications, and Licenses:

Current, unrestricted Registered Nursing (RN) license in Alaska or another U.S. state.Direct hire applicants must apply for an Alaska nursing license before the start date.Agency staff must have an active Alaska license.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

1 year of acute care experience preferred.6 months of experience in addiction services preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of:

The nursing process and its application in the working environment.Customer service principles.Safety and infection control principles.

Skills in:

Completing assessments, anticipating needs, and specimen collection.Utilizing equipment such as computers and medical devices.Effective oral and written communication.

Ability to:

Multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.Work as a team player.Teach when appropriate.Problem-solve and use critical thinking to maintain good working relationships with staff and departments.Ask for help when facing new or challenging situations.

Computer Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Travel Required:

Must be able to travel 10% of the time.
