BDC Fund AccountingDepartment OverviewThe BDC Fund Accounting Department is responsible for the financial and investor reporting associated with Golub Capital’s Business Development Companies (“BDCs”). The team provides accounting and SEC reporting for the BDCs and their subsidiaries pursuant to the governing operating and investment management agreements and in accordance with United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Key responsibilities include monthly closes, preparation of financial statements, production of quarterly investor reporting, and coordinating technical system implementations.Position ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Financial Accountant will have primary responsibility for reviewing and preparing all SEC related reporting for the public and private BDCs as well as internal reporting, financial reporting automation, and process improvement. Primary duties include:Preparing the quarterly and annual reports on Form 10-Q / KPreparing quarterly earnings release and other investor communicationsMonitoring and ensuring compliance with evolving accounting guidanceAssisting in the coordination of annual audit and quarterly review activitiesWorking closely with other Golub Capital shared services functionsAssisting the BDC Fund Accounting Team in driving operational efficienciesIn the future, the Senior Financial Accountant may transition to the BDC Fund Accounting Team, which includes:Maintaining the general ledgerPreparing monthly and quarterly close packagesAssisting with quarterly and annual debt complianceCandidate RequirementsQualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree required (Accounting or Finance preferred)3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in public accounting and SEC reportingCPA strongly encouragedAdvanced proficiency in Excel requiredStrong analytical skillsAbility to learn and contribute to process improvementCritical Competencies for SuccessLeadership:
