Hybrid/Can Be FlexibleBrio Digital is currently supporting a well-known FinTech company that is on the lookout for multiple Principal Database Engineers. This role is suitable for Lead/Managers who are still extremely hands-on.Database Engineer Key Responsibilities:Design, implement, and maintain PostgreSQL databases to ensure data integrity, performance, and security.Optimise database performance through indexing, query tuning, and capacity planning.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support database-related needs and initiatives.Perform regular database backups, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery planning.Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure maximum uptime and responsiveness.Evaluate and implement new database technologies and features to enhance data infrastructure.Database Engineer Experience:Proven experience as a Principal Database Engineer.Experience with PostgreSQL and MySQL.Strong understanding of database design, optimization, and maintenance.Proficient in writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures.Experience with performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.Knowledge of database security best practices.Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Some great benefits are included as well, which can be discussed as needed.Apply now or email
