Job Summary: Pre-Op/PACU RN Part Time (3 days a week)The RN Pre-op/PACU is a Registered Nurse that provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. The RN Pre-op/PACU provides safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations. The RN Pre-op/PACU supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization. The RN Pre-op/PACU reports to the Manager of Peri-Operative Services.

Required Skills:EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCEGraduate of an accredited school of nursingCurrent CA Nursing LicenseCurrent BLS, ACLSMinimum of 2 years experience in Pre-Op/PACU. Previous experience working in an ambulatory surgical setting preferred.Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patientUnderstand principles of aseptic technique and their implementationAbility to care for patients from infancy to geriatricsKnowledge base to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errorsAbility to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when neededExcellent teaching skillsExcellent communication and organizational skillsDemonstrate strong professional and ethical behaviorAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, physicians and fellow employees (TEAMWORK)Strong customer service skillsDemonstrate accountability, creativity, innovation and be receptive to changePossess basic knowledge of Performance Improvement ideologyHourly Wage: $58 to $63 an hour. Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.Tresanti Surgery Center complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce.
