Position Summary:

The Associate Director, Clinical (ACD) supports the Director, Clinical by completing tasks as assigned to ensure clinical programming and treatment services meet or exceed quality expectations. The ACD provides support and/or supervision to therapists, counselors, and ancillary clinical team.Essential Duties:Carries a caseload of clients or families and/or facilitates therapy groups.Provides training, support and supervision to clinicians and milieu staff as needed.Acts as Interim Clinical Director in the absence of the Clinical Director.Assists with Admissions by conducting face-to-face clinical assessments and developing initial safety plans.May assign caseloads or facilitate treatment team and/or clinical group supervision as needed.Conducts peer reviews as required by the Utilization Review department.Conducts weekly audits of medical records to ensure quality and timely submission of clinical documentation.Intervenes and assists clients and/or families in crises prevention and intervention.Participates in on-call rotation as a back-up for on-call clinicians.Coordinates treatment including discharge planning with the treatment team.Attends and participates in meetings as an interdisciplinary team member.Assists with implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state licensing and accreditation requirements.Facilitates development of systems for effective inter-departmental communication.Reviews staff communication and shift report for treatment implications.Conducts facility tours and represents Newport Healthcare at community events.Qualifications

Education and Experience:Master's Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field required; Doctorate preferred.Licensed as a Marriage Family Therapist, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of application.Minimum three years' experience working with young adults preferred.Training or experience in trauma-informed treatment preferred.Willingness to be trained in Attachment Based Family Therapy required.Pay Range:

$73,853 - $111,636 (dependent upon Education and Experience)Benefits
