As a Test Engineer on our team, you'll use your experience to work with developers, systems engineers, and offensive security professionals to evaluate software developed for a variety of unique customers. You'll create a test plan with test cases based on user stories. Using software development skills, you'll generate data and execute the test cases to see how the project's software and networks perform, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can improve the infrastructure and tools.
You'll automate continuous security and performance testing and monitor the health of quality assurance standards and procedures. You'll also broaden your experience in networking, visualization, and offensive security in support of unique project requirements that have a lasting impact.
The appropriate candidate should have experience with the following:
Must maintain active/current TS/SCI with a polygraph clearance.3+ years with a BS OR 5+ years without a BA/BS in a technical discipline.Experience with IV&V testing, functional testing, and penetration testing.Knowledge of basic configuration of network devices, including switches, routers, and firewalls.Knowledge of software testing best practices, both automated and manual testing, and creating testing plans from scratch.Ability to build out networks from scratch, both small and large, utilizing hardware and virtualization, VLANs, and virtual hosts.Experience with network vulnerability assessments, intrusion detection monitoring, network forensics, or network traffic analysis.Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.Knowledge of offensive cybersecurity, penetration testing, red teams, blue teams, vulnerability research, and incident response.The duties and responsibilities listed in this job description generally cover the nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position.
