The Accounting Lead for HemoCue is responsible for leading and supervising an accounting team responsible for producing accurate and timely financials with journal entries, account reconciliations, monthly closing process and required corporate reporting.

This position is part of HemoCue’s Finance organization located onsite in Brea, CA. At HemoCue, our vision is to do things easier, to do things better, and to do them right.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Lead an accounting team consisting of 1 to 3 associates.

Perform detailed analysis of complex account balances to ensure accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP as part of the overall accounting close process.

Prepare and post journal entries and monthly accruals.

Calculate and analyze monthly sales commission payments.

Responsible for audit work preparation and SOX compliance.

The essential requirements of the job include:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field with 5+ years accounting experience OR Master's degree in field with 3+ years experience OR Doctoral degree in field with 0+ years experience

Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP, SOX compliance, sales tax and VAT

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Have a solid understanding of full financials from revenue recognition, lease accounting, inventory, fixed assets, prepayment and intercompany.

Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements for faster and accurate financial reporting.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Previous supervisory experience.

CPA or CMA certification.

Experienced with Axapta ERP system.

The salary range for this role is $105,000 to $110,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
