We are excited to consider a remote candidate for this role. The Multi Cloud Adoption Team (MCAT) at New Relic builds the platforms, products, and foundational services for secure, automated, reliable, and dynamic ingestion and processing of telemetry data. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help expand New Relic observability platform to GCP, Azure, and AWS, at the scale of ingesting over 2 billion events per minute. You will work on a team that will pave the way for the right tooling and standards across multi-cloud environments and empower our engineering teams to deliver exciting digital experiences for our customers with agility and confidence.You are an engineer with a passion for working hands-on with cloud technologies in a large-scale environment. You enjoy collaborating, communicating, and technical writing with other engineers.What You'll Do

Work with a team of engineers to design, implement and manage secure, scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure.Establish standards and reference architectures, guiding teams to have their services running on all three cloud platforms - GCP, Azure, AWS.Deliver high-quality production code with robust error handling and efficient use of system resources.Research and create short-lived proofs of concept to evaluate and reduce the risk of new technologies.Regularly collaborate with PMs, technical leaders, and other stakeholders to clarify project requirements and execute cross-team initiatives.Contribute to large cross-team projects.This Role Requires

3+ years hands-on experience in implementing and/or maintaining highly complex cloud environments in one or more of the cloud platforms - GCP, Azure, and AWS.Minimum of 5+ years of software experience in cloud environments.Experience driving software engineering practices through good software design, clean and secure code, code reviews, unit tests, CI/CD pipeline, and operational efficiency.Demonstrated hands-on expertise in many disparate technologies, from front-end user interfaces through to back-end software systems.Experience in SOLID design practices, design patterns, including object-oriented design and OOP.Strong understanding of cloud computing and hands-on experience of migrating/operating workloads in AWS, Azure, and GCP.Experience with one or more of AWS, Azure, GCP around Compute, Storage, and essential Networking technologies.Experience with Kubernetes or AKS or EKS or GKE cluster deployment and support.Experience automating with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform) and integrating systems using a high-level language (Go, Python).Experience working on cross-team projects with the ability to identify risks and weigh trade-offs.Strong self-starter attitude that enjoys collaborating and listening.Bonus Points If You Have

$146,000 - $182,000. This role is eligible for a corporate bonus plan.
