All current employees must have a performance rating of Outstanding or High-Performing to be eligible to post for a position.General Position Scope:The Consumer Credit Officer is responsible for ensuring loan requests meet strong loan quality standards, comply with rules and regulations, and adhere to bank policies. While this officer will have lending authority, the individual is not considered a producer. The individual may be responsible for underwriting and approving employee loans; underwriting and decisioning credit card applications, assisting with second reviews of adverse actions on HMDA applications; administering payment decisions and NSF/overdraft refund requests on employee checking accounts and various other Credit Administration functions.Duties and Responsibilities:Review and concur on consumer loan and credit card requests as needed from the consumer loan software to ensure comprehensive underwriting, proper structure, prudent risk mitigation, adherence to Loan Policy, compliance with rules and regulations, and accurate overall risk assessment.Discuss relevant issues with loan officers to ensure proper loan decisions are concurred, prior to loan concurrence.Assist loan officers in the interpretation and application of the Loan Policy.Assist with annual examinations/audits, both internal and external.Assist with underwriting and approving employee loans (excluding Executive Officers).Assist with second reviews of adverse actions on HMDA applications, and assist with oversight of non-HMDA second reviews, as related to Fair Lending.Administer employee overdraft payment decisions and NSF/Overdraft fee refunds on employee checking accounts.Request payment of invoices for vendors such as TransUnion, NADA, etc.Maintain a thorough knowledge of Bank products, services, policies, procedures, and appropriate regulatory issues as related to daily job functions including but not limited to: Bank Secrecy Act; Privacy Act; Fair Lending Act; Regulation Z; Regulation E, etc.Complete required compliance training and adhere to the Bank’s standard of conduct.Participate in the bank’s High-Performance Rewards Connections program by making referrals.Perform other duties as requested.Position Requirements:Associate’s Degree and at least ten years of experience in lending, involving a wide array of consumer and consumer real estate lending.Current knowledge of banking rules and regulations.Current knowledge of the Bank’s policies and procedures.Developed analytical skills with ability to work independently, solve problems quickly, and make sound decisions.Highly motivated, works well in a team environment, building relationships across the organization.Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks.Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent listening skills.Advanced knowledge of consumer loan software.General computer and typing experience with Microsoft Office Suite, to include Excel, Word, and Outlook.Extensive reading and computer usage.Work outside of regular business hours, as deemed necessary.BankPlus is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate in hiring or employment on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, citizenship, gender, marital status, sexual orientation, age, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law.
