Alliance is rapidly expanding, and we are seeking a Vice President, Investor Relations, to oversee all aspects of a client’s investor relations program. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact between the client and the investment community, including institutional investors, analysts, and individual shareholders. The role involves developing and executing strategies to communicate the client’s financial performance, business strategies, and growth prospects effectively. The individual will also support new business development efforts and provide oversight and direction to junior team members.

The candidate for this role will be working full-time remotely, in the United States or Canada.

RESPONSIBILITIES – WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Client Management

Serve as the primary agency point of contact for each assigned client, driving deliverables, providing counsel, making recommendations and offering solutions.

Play an active role in onboarding new clients.

Lead client programs including managing internal and external resources.

Counsel clients on all aspects of their IR programs and IR issues, in collaboration with other team members.

Lead weekly status update and planning calls with clients.

Plan the IR program on a rolling three-month basis.

Maintain ongoing relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.

Team Leadership

Lead, mentor, and develop the investor relations team.

Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, ensuring the team is equipped to achieve their goals and inspire them to deliver exceptional client service daily.

Strategic Communication

Develop and implement a comprehensive investor relations strategy aligned with the client’s goals and objectives.

Communicate the client’s financial performance, business strategies, and growth prospects to the investment community.

Stakeholder Engagement

Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, analysts, and individual shareholders.

Serve as the primary point of contact for investor inquiries and communications.

Financial Reporting

Oversee the preparation and dissemination of quarterly and annual financial reports, earnings releases, and other relevant disclosures.

Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information.

Create quarterly IR board reports and periodic peer analyses.

Communications

Write and manage news releases, pitches, social media content and other investor communications to promote clients.

Field inbound investor calls and email inquiries.

Marketing

Develop and manage marketing initiatives/campaigns for clients, including social media.

Investor Meetings

Organize and manage investor meetings, conference calls, and presentations.

Participate in roadshows, investor conferences, and other events to promote the company’s investment story.

Market Analysis

Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on market intelligence.

Regulatory Compliance

Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to investor relations, including SEDAR filings, SEC filings and disclosures.

Stay updated on relevant regulations and industry best practices.

Crisis Management

Develop and implement communication strategies for managing investor relations during crises or significant corporate events.

Ensure transparent and effective communication during such times.

Investor Engagement

Build and maintain strong relationships with investors to inspire confidence in our clients’ vision and strategy for delivering shareholder value.

Vendor Management

Manage investor relations/marketing vendors for clients and assist in finding the right vendor to achieve client objectives.

Business Development

Participate in the agency’s business-development process and pitching prospective clients.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of 10+ years relevant experience in investor relations, finance, or a related field, including work in an IR agency environment.

Extraordinary strategic vision and leadership abilities, exceptional communication and presentation skills, deep financial expertise, and a strong ability to influence and engage at the highest levels of the organization.

Bachelor’s degree required.

MBA and CFA are desirable.

Familiarity with industry tools and data platforms such as FactSet, Bloomberg, NASDAQ IR Insight, IRWIN and AlphaSense.
