We are looking for you to join our team as a Power and Control Systems Engineering Manager 3, 100% on-site at our Sykesville, MD location.

Functional Roles & Responsibilities:

Lead section staff based on goals, objectives, and company policies.

Lead strategic actions to improve the business of engineering.

Provide engineering staffing to programs.

Ensure adherence to established engineering processes.

Manage workload forecasting, hire/develop new engineering talent.

Prepare, manage, and conduct Quarterly Connections.

Manage department budget and support compensation planning.

Support proposal activities (lead, technical/management volume development, Basis of Estimate (BOE) development/defense).

Support and lead engineering organization efforts aimed towards skill and career development; continuous improvement; and growth.

Program Roles & Responsibilities:

Manage engineering support to programs.

Provide Engineering support aligned with Power and Control Systems technical domains.

Support writing technical specifications, Statements of Work (SOWs), design reviews, and capture/proposal activities.

Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.

Ensure training to staff on Engineering Tools required to support their programs.

Maintain and ensure application of design processes and guidelines used by the department.

Collaborate with peer managers to ensure consistency across multiple work groups.

Develop proposal inputs and review proposal content for both internal and external customers.

Lead or support department initiatives, technology roadmap creation, and project leadership.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience, a Master's degree with 6 years of experience, or a PhD with 4 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics or other related technical fields.

2 years of experience with leading large and diverse technical teams.

2 years of experience working in a technical role supporting Power or Control Systems engineering development.

Experience within the technical engineering discipline in the defense industry.

Knowledge of hiring, staffing, engineering metrics, training resources, processes, and tools.

Power or control systems technology background with development and implementation experience.

U.S Citizenship is required.

Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance. An interim DoD Secret clearance is required to start.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or other related technical fields.

Experience leading groups of 30+ in a functional, programmatic (development and/or production), or technical capacity.

4 years of experience in functional management of an engineering organization.

High proficiency in technical problem solving and systems engineering.

Leadership experience in areas related to integration & test.

This position is contingent upon the successful transfer of an active DoD Interim Secret Clearance prior to start.

Salary Range:

$172,500 - $258,700
