Sr Software Engineer (Database / C# Data Access Layer)

Other states not being considered at this time.General Job DescriptionThe Senior Software Engineer will help solve the complex challenges of building high performance, decision support systems. With great problem solving and communication skills, the Senior Software Engineer will work in an agile environment with fast paced design, development, and deployment.This position focuses extensively on SQL Server and the data access layer, but a successful candidate should be comfortable working in the full stack as needed.The candidate for this position must be very strong in all aspects of SQL Server 2019+ (SSMS, stored procedures, SQL agent jobs, indexing for performance, data schema design and development, data warehousing, 4.2b row tables, SSRS, SSIS (simple integration packages, not very complex), light DBA abilities are a plus.The candidate must also be comfortable with (and enjoy) writing and maintaining a data access layer in C# - both directly via Stored Procedures, and via Entity Framework. Enjoying working in both aspects is important, though for this position the SQL Server work will come first.We are looking for someone to take responsibility for the storage, retrieval, and care of our SQL Server data while also actively contributing to our C# development.Knowledge, Skills And AbilitiesStrong MS SQL Server skills, including table design and advanced stored procedure development, data warehousing, SQL jobs and database tuning.Experience working with datasets that exceed 300 million rows.Strong object-oriented programming skills.Familiarity with the consumption and presentation of API data.Comfortable with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and JavaScript libraries, and Bootstrap.N-tier design and programming.Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in CS, MIS or CIS or related field or equivalent job-related experience.7+ years T-SQL.4+ years C#.1+ years .NET 6+.MS SQL Server administration experience.Experience working with telematics, CAN bus, or other complex data.Data integration applications experience.SSRS and SSIS experience.Compri values diversity and provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment.
