99940 - 5981 Network & TelephonyThis position may have a signing bonus available; a member of the Recruitment Team will confirm eligibility during the interview process.Major Responsibilities:Works independently, while demonstrating a collaborative and collegial work style. Acts with a high degree of accountability and commitment to meeting customer and management expectations.Maintains a deep understanding of unified communications and video conferencing, including but not limited to: Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco TelePresence Management Suite, Cisco Meeting Server, Cisco WebEx, Unity Connection, Zoom, IMP, UCCX, Expressways, Jabber Client, SIP, H.323, and QoS.Maintains an understanding of network switching and routing as related to Unified Communications.Monitors effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; assists with development and implementation strategies for improving the efficiency, reliability and performance of these systems.Collaborates with Network and NOC team to analyze network activity and network related issues to discover and prevent systematic errors. Recommends and/or implements Unified Communications network monitoring software and design changes/enhancements to improve system availability and overall performance.Helps establish and maintain Unified Communications standards and procedures and expectations, as part of the deployment of new infrastructure services, systems and technologies.Manages escalations of Collaboration/Video issues; prioritizes and responds to Service Desk tickets as appropriate.Troubleshoots and maintains a geographically dispersed, yet fully redundant Unified Communications network environment.Acts as a resource for problem resolution, solving the most difficult and complicated technical problems in the Unified Communications/Video environment.Applies quality assurance methodologies to infrastructure operations.Partners with employees and managers across the organization to ensure the delivery of great customer service to users of the UC and Collaboration services.Position Qualifications:License/Certification/Education:Required:Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology field or equivalent experience.Experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Meeting Server, Cisco TelePresence Management Suite, Cisco Unity Connection, Cisco IMP, UCCX Zoom, and Cisco SX10, SX20, SX80, DX70, DX80 and Jabber Collaboration Endpoints.Experience integrating Cisco Video endpoints into complex AV environments containing Crestron components.Experience/Skills:Required:Seven (7) years' experience in networking and/or voice communication systems, with at least five (5) years' experience specifically with Cisco VOIP systems.Three (3) years' experience in Cisco Unified Communications technologies.Experience in the design of complex UC system(s) consisting of several thousand users and multiple sites.Preferred:CCNP Voice experience.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.If you share our Standards of Respect, we hope you will join our team and help us make respect our standard for everyone, every day.If you are unable to submit an application because of incompatible assistive technology or a disability, please contact us at talentacquisition@umassmemorial.org.
