This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 4:30pm - 1:30am PST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work on-call Supervisor rotation, occasional overtime, weekends, holidays, and off hours.

Our office is located at 1601 Ygnacio Valley Rd, Walnut Creek, CA.

We offer 4 weeks of paid training. The hours of the training will be based on schedule or will be discussed on your first day of employment.

Primary Responsibilities:

Email Review / Research / ResolutionSupervise Patient Access Staff with about 20 Direct ReportsAid in on-call Supervisor Rotation During Weekends, Holidays, and Off HoursStaff / Department RoundingDevelop Agenda Topics for Daily Huddles and Chair the DiscussionStaff on Boarding - Identify Candidates / Screen / Interview / Hire / Train / Mentor During Probationary Period and BeyondReport and Work Queue SupportSchedule Development and MaintenanceKronos Timekeeping for StaffEpic Support and Training for StaffCrucial / Progressive / Developmental Conversation CompletionRegistration Support - Registration Completion and Quality ReviewPOS Collection - Collect and / or Reconciliation of Patient PaymentsDowntime Support - Weekend Graveyard SupportInterdepartmental CollaborationKPI Metrics Tracking and DevelopmentStaff Engagement and Satisfaction

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma / GEDMust be 18 years of age OR older3+ years of medical office or hospital experience1+ years of supervisor/management or team lead experience1+ years of healthcare revenue cycle (registration, HIM, billing, etc.) experienceAbility to work on-site in 1601 Ygnacio Valley Rd, Walnut Creek, CAAbility to work any full-time, Monday - Friday, 4:30 PM - 1:30 AM PSTAbility to work any on-call Supervisor rotation during weekends, holidays, and off hours based on business need

Preferred Qualifications:

1+ years of outpatient registration experience1+ years of healthcare scheduling experienceKnowledge of state and federal regulations as they pertain to Emergency Department processes and proceduresExperience with and knowledge of PC applications Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

California Residents Only: The salary range for this is $58,300 - $114,300 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
