Principal Email Engineer - Composer

Department Description
The Marketing Email Platform Engineering Team delivers enterprise-wide software tools enabling country-level email marketing execution. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced engineer to work on the next generation of our email platform.
Role Description
The ideal candidate is a hardworking Salesforce Platform developer who has proven an ability to learn, and has a desire to continue their learning journey.
You will be working with the team to expand functionality and improve usability of the email CMS and other custom apps for our email team collaborators. You’ll wear many hats, from discovery and design, to quality assurance, to developer and admin. You will have the opportunity to learn and use the newest Salesforce technologies, as well as work with many other teams in our Product and Marketing orgs developing new integrations and creating next-gen tools for our partners.
Experience in fast-paced, technical environments experiencing rapid growth and change
Ability to adapt, to be flexible, and to learn quickly in a dynamic environment
Excellent organizational skills including ability to prioritize tasks efficiently with high level of attention to detail
Proactively identify partner needs and perform discovery and design on solutions to meet those needs
Work collaboratively with other developer/admins on the same code base
Work with internal technology partners on new and existing integrations
Mentor and guide junior engineers
Participate in product and feature design with product team and business partners
Design applications based on common design patterns and best practices
Plan, design, and enhance automation frameworks and tools
Participate in and contribute to code reviews
Use the latest Salesforce technology and methods
Minimum Requirements
8+ years experience with Salesforce Platform technologies
2+ years of experience with JavaScript
Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer experience (APIs, AMPScript, SSJS, Automations, Journey Builder, etc)
Trailhead Ranger status
Extensive understanding of Object Oriented (OO) design patterns such as MVC
Experience with SOAP & REST APIs
Experience with data modeling design
Relational database experience (SOQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
Ability to learn quickly and be a self-starter
Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology
Experience developing in an enterprise environment such as source code control, continuous deployment, release management
A related technical degree required
Preferred Requirements
Full Stack Software Engineering experience
Experience writing unit tests
Experience working with automated CI/CD
Compensation Information
For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $204,400 to $296,400. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
