Job DescriptionBackground: Wellesley College has a long history of providing an excellent liberal arts undergraduate education for women. The College, established in 1870, has a student body of 2,400 undergraduates. The Wellesley College endowment had a market value of $2.8 billion as of the fiscal year ended June 30, 2022. The investment of the endowment is managed by the College’s Investment Office, located on the College campus in Wellesley, MA.Position SummaryThe Investment Analyst role is a 3-year, full-time position open to recent graduates and graduating seniors (0-1 years of work experience), with an expected start date of summer 2025. Team members must live in the Boston metro area but, post an initial training period, have the option to work remotely 2 days a week. The Investment Analyst position provides a unique opportunity to gain broad exposure to and experience in institutional investing. The Investment Analyst is an integral member of the investment team responsible for managing the Wellesley College endowment. This position reports to the Deputy CIO but provides support to and receives direction from the entire team. The Investment Analyst works across all asset classes in a variety of capacities as described below. The Investment Analyst supports manager due diligence and monitoring, including extensive quantitative analysis and qualitative investment research. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Analysis on current and prospective managersReview performance of managers versus benchmarks and internal recordsConduct performance attribution and exposure analysis (geographic, leverage, transparency, strategy, holdings), amongst other analysis.Coordinate and prepare background information for team member visits with managers.Represent the College at partnership meetings and prepare summary notes.Review legal documents and legal amendments.QualificationsThe Investment Analyst should exhibit the desire to learn and grow as an investment professional and keep up to date on the latest market news, industry practices and technology applications.Core requirements include:An interest in investing and capital marketsRelevant coursework, internship, and/or work experience.Accountable, hardworking, and detail-orientedAn ability to work effectively in a small, collegial, high-performing teamExcellent oral and written communication skillsStrong organizational skillsInitiative and willingness to learnCompetent in Microsoft Excel and PowerPointAdherence to a strict code of ethicsWillingness to travel occasionally, as neededEmployment eligibility in the United States of America.We are unable to accept H1B, CPT, or OPT candidates at this time.To apply for this position, please follow the link to the College’s website and submit
