Job: ConsultingPrimary Location: Kansas City, MOSchedule: Full-timeTravel: Yes, 25 % of the TimeDescription1898 & Co., a division of Burns & McDonnell, is seeking an experienced IBM Maximo Solution Architect to join the Enterprise Systems Business Line within the Technology Consulting Practice of 1898 & Co. We seek a qualified Maximo practitioner to provide application, technology, architecture solutions, and services to our clients. ESI Technology Consulting focuses on providing our clients with a variety of consulting services, offerings, capabilities, and strategies delivering high value to our clients through a variety of leading technologies and practice disciplines.The Maximo solution architect shall possess strong functional and technical knowledge of the IBM Maximo EAM solution. The candidate must have strong project execution capabilities, strong leadership and collaboration capabilities, excellent communication skills, a focus on continuous improvement and enterprise innovation, and strong attention to detail while delivering high-quality work to our clients.The Maximo Solution Architect is responsible for providing strategic guidance, road mapping, research, planning, and leading practices to our client’s executive leaders to make investment decisions aligned with the organization’s long-term vision.This position will participate and lead a variety of Enterprise Transformation Programs focused on Maximo solutions through all delivery lifecycle stages of a typical software implementation or upgrade. The role will lead efforts to identify and deliver Maximo EAM solutions to our clients with a strong emphasis on teamwork, customer commitment, industry best practices, and continuous improvement.Responsibilities include:Apply industry experience and leading practices to architect, design, develop and implement Maximo solutions to support complex business requirements.Lead or assist with program estimating, planning, and budgeting efforts and be accountable for the program/project delivery execution.Support Analysis, Design, Build, Test, Triaging defects, Configuration, and Deployment activities.Support Enterprise Program Management activities utilizing various methodologies such as but not limited to Waterfall and Agile methods.Ensure successful project completion per budget, scope, quality, and business objectives, while supervising overall project status and progress.Support human performance architects to evaluate training and performance support needs and design the training and performance support products.Act as an application architect and solution architect, with responsibilities on the application and technical architecture teams.Assist with or lead the business process design activities to drive out the complete application requirements: functional, quality, integration, and security.Work with the application designer to create a high-level design of an end-to-end integration solution.Validate application requirements meet overall business process needs and project scope.Lead or assist with completing high-level project communications and status reporting to the executive team.Assist with providing a central point of contact for all project interdependencies.Ensure compliance with company and site safety policies.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Applicable work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.Minimum 8 years of experience providing enterprise architecture strategies, enterprise integration solutions, and services leveraging various applications and technical platforms.Preferred: 5 years working in the Electric Utility Industry or equivalent.Excellent enterprise architecture and integration skills, including data architecture, cloud architecture, middleware, and other architectural methods and practices.Experience with large-scale enterprise transformation projects using industry enterprise architecture strategy solutions and middleware technologies.Strong ability to influence or lead enterprise integration project execution.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Expert knowledge of application data analysis and transformation at various layers of the architecture.Experience with leading-edge applications, middleware technology, and solutions utilizing data strategies.Experience with a variety of project execution methodologies including but not limited to Waterfall and Agile.Experience developing enterprise architecture strategies focusing on data, applications, and technologies for clients in the utilities industry.Travel:
